Hohhot City Donghe River Section Lighting Improvement and Renovation Project

As an important component of urban renewal, the lighting project for the Donghe River section in Hohhot City not only aims to enhance the visual appeal of the nighttime landscape but also strives to create a multifunctional waterfront space that integrates leisure, culture, and ecology. By seamlessly blending the historic buildings and natural scenery along both banks of the Donghe River with modern light and shadow art, the project has crafted a nighttime ambiance that is both warm and romantic yet deeply rooted in cultural heritage. During the renovation process, special emphasis was placed on incorporating energy-saving and environmentally friendly principles. Highly efficient, energy-saving LED lighting fixtures were selected and programmed to automatically adjust brightness according to seasonal changes and pedestrian traffic density, thereby meeting lighting needs while significantly reducing energy consumption. The Donghe River section has not only become a new landmark of Hohhot, attracting numerous tourists eager to visit and take memorable photos, but has also greatly enriched the nighttime cultural life of local residents, boosted the development of the city’s night-time economy, and showcased Hohhot’s unique charm and vitality as a modern metropolis.
