Quality Enhancement of Night Tours on the Jiangcheng Integrated Floating Bridge in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province
Located downstream of the Dongyang River, approximately 289 meters west of Hongji Bridge, and connecting to Guzicheng to the north and Sanjiangli to the south, this project is one of our city’s key initiatives aimed at fostering integration between the river and the urban area and enhancing cultural and tourism experiences. The floating bridge has a total length of about 192.8 meters, a width of 14.5 meters, and a clear passage width of 4.5 meters on the bridge deck. It features a modular design with detachable and reassemblable pontoon structures, ensuring both safety and stability while preserving the traditional floating characteristics of a conventional floating bridge. The newly constructed bridge draws its design inspiration from the ancient Shang Floating Bridge, which was traditionally built in the style of “twenty-four boats linked together in twenty-four sections, each section bringing peace and blessings.” The overall design exudes a retro aesthetic, intended to evoke the poetic imagery described by the Song Dynasty poet Li Qingzhao in her poem “The Twin Streams’ Small Boat,” where she depicted a scene of serene elegance.
